Okay. So maybe thats not true - you may already have heard the work of some of the brilliant composers on Play It Forward. You might be a fan, a friend, a family member or some sort of weird stalker (hey I’m not judging….quick change subject).
My point is, the musicians working on PIF are almost criminally good (honestly…I want to lock them all up to stop their music from making mine look rubbish)
and though they may not enjoy the notoriety of “insert relevant ‘pop-star’ here” chances are their music is just as good if not better.
Not that any of the peeps on PIF demand world fame and domination (well if they do they keep it to themselves), rather, I suspect, they write music because it makes them feel happy and because they want to share the feeling that their art form gives them.
I’ve been listening to demos of some of the upcoming PIF tracks and I am blown away by how incredible they all sound. Seriously. I’m not just saying that to “hype” the album or to “generate sales”, to be honest PIF isn’t even about the music, its about raising money and awareness for two great charities.
Play it forward is sounding awesome and I’m sure I speak for all involved when I say we cant wait for you to hear it.
Ryans Final Thought.
In todays world of internet, smart phones, computers that play Jeopardy and Wi-Fi cupcakes it remains a constant mystery to me why we never see “rockstar” composers.
Millions of people every week play video games or visit cinemas and gorge themselves with tasty nuggets of musical genius but very few ever ask “where did that music come from?” - it’s strange that we never see game soundtracks or film scores (which are available to purchase) in the popular music charts.
Maybe this is something PIF will change…maybe.
Are you excited for the release of Play It Forward? I am.

I know right. Did you see that incredible talent roster?
When I first wrote about the idea of what would become play it forward (HERE)
I honestly didn’t expect much to come from it - at worst I would try and fail alone miserably. At best I would manage to fumble out two tracks in an attempt to create an EP only to have my friends purchase it out of pity rather than charity. But thankfully I was wrong.
I have been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm people have shown towards the project. Their willingness to contribute their time and resources to such a worthwhile but arduous project has been nothing short of incredible.
Work is well underway on the project - I have heard some of the composers demos and although I can’t post them here (yet) you have my word that they are AWESOME.
Now onto RELEASE REVEAL 1 :-
I can now reveal that Play It Forward will be available for download this December via a “Pay-what-you-can” scheme.
The download will include not only incredible music, but also amazing artwork by some of the best artists you are likely to find on this or any other planet.
Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to launch.
Catch ya on the flip side.

Hi,
Welcome to the official blog of Play It Forward, a soon to be released charity album that aims to raise as much money as possible for Childs Play and EFF.
Play it Forward is backed by a group of highly talented and creative individuals who have all been united through the video game industry. Some work in the games industry professionally on games that you may very well have played, others are hungry young upstarts who seek the coveted title of professional, however, they are all united by a common goal - the drive to do something good in this world, to help the people who need help.
Over the coming weeks I will be discussing the project in more detail, sharing tidbits, teasers and news. In the meantime please use the links on the right to join our mailing list and follow us on Twitter.
Thank You for reading, I hope that with your support we can create something very special.
